Maggi Mee

Today we took the children out to our very backyard forest for a cook out. It was the children's first time cookin maggi mee + telur themselves. And their first time actually cooking outdoors. Everythin went according to plan, which happened slightly more then two hours before Rangers meeting begun. Has been a REALLY long time since we did actually over the fire cooking. Now we have pots to do them! More outdoor cooking to come....wonder what we shall do next..hmm...






Mmmmm bestest Maggi mee ever! Over cook, soggy and smoked. Cant get anythin like this at home! So good the children kept askin for more!

Refresher Course - Tents

After coming back from the National Leaders Conference all the commanders decided it was time to hold a refresher course for both Adventure and Discovery Rangers. Today's refresher course was about building tents. We first asked who didn't know how to get their tents up and not surprisingly about half didn't know how to. This was their lucky day off. So, a few commanders explained the important rules when pitching a tent up and showed the children how to set them up and neatly fold them back.

Adventure Rangers had it a little bit difficult, I got them to do a tent each. Which was a good idea as they took turns to help each other out. Not thinking of themselves only but realized that working together is faster.
